Curriculum

A3+Convergence Curriculum Model

(University Education Innovation Project for the 4th Industrial Revolution)Major future industries such as augmented/virtual reality, future automobiles, artificial intelligence, and big data are based on AI. However, the shortage of manpower in related AI fields has emerged as a major problem in industry and university education.

(A3+Convergence Curriculum Model) In the era of the sharing economy, AI mobility, which is the convergence of ICT technologies, is the core technology of the 4th industrial revolution: artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and analytics for big data. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively educate these skills.

(STAR Core Competency) This specifies the talents for innovative leading universities into the STAR core competencies: creative problem solving, convergence knowledge, sense of community, communication skills and professional knowledge.

STAR Core Competency Definition 4C Connection
Creative problem solving This is the ability to innovatively solve various problems based on creative ideas, which requires critical and comprehensive thinking to lead the field of AI mobility Creativity, Critical thinking
Convergence knowledge This is the ability to adapt to new industries through the convergence of various academic fields, which requires A3+ convergence ability in the field of AI mobility. Creativity, Communication
Sense of community This requires a spirit of mutual cooperation and service to society based on the ability to actively participate in the development of the community with the values and attitudes required as a member of the community. Collaboration
Communication skills This is the ability to effectively express the thoughts and feelings in various situations and to listen to and respect the opinions of others, which is required for active knowledge exchange in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Communication
Professional knowledge This is the ability to analyze phenomenon objectively and logically with major knowledge and practical competency, which is required to implement an AI mobility platform centered on AI, autonomous driving, and analytics for big data in the field of AI mobility. Critical thinking, Creativity

University Education Innovation Project for the 4th Industrial Revolution: Major future industries such as augmented/virtual reality, future automobiles, artificial intelligence, and big data are based on AI. However, the shortage of manpower in related AI fields has emerged as a major problem in industry and university education.

Consistency and Suitability: The ‘A3+ Convergence Curriculum’ model organizes and shares the curriculum based on the STAR core competencies set according to the talents for universities and business groups and the STAR promotion strategy to realize them.

Expertise: The project group, which is composed of Department of AI Convergence, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, secures expertise in the overall A3+ convergence education field.

Flexibility: Through the creation/reorganization of major courses in participating departments, we construct a professional curriculum that encompasses artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and big data. We flexibly and systematically operate the curriculum and certification programs of department major, convergence major, and nano-degree to meet the needs of students and industries.

Sustainability: In accordance with our mid-to-long-term AI field nurturing and development plan, we established the Department of AI Convergence and the AI Mobility Convergence Major in 2021. We expect the improvement of our curriculum system through continuous and intensive investment in shared and convergence education between departments and education infrastructure in the field of AI mobility.
